ABOUT AIR FORCE MANPOWER ANALYSIS AGENCY

AFMAA is organized as a Field Operating Agency (FOA) located at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)-Randolph, Texas. The AFMAA Commander (AFMAA/CC) reports to Headquarters United States Air Force (HQ USAF), Director of Manpower, Organization, and Resources (AF/A1M).  

AFMAA provides Air Force leaders at all organizational levels the tools to identify essential manpower and process improvement initiatives required for effective and efficient accomplishment of the Air Force’s missions. Through its two directorates, six divisions, seven manpower OLs, AFMAA accomplishes the following actions.

AFMAA DIRECTORATE FUNCTIONS

MANPOWER MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE:  Oversees Air Force Manpower major mission areas and associated support programs. Develops and implements operations policy and ensures collaboration across product lines. Captures, manages, and reports production metrics and human capital utilization.

ENTERPRISE TRAINING AND ENGAGEMENT DIRECTORATE:  Oversees AF/A1M, AFMAA/CC, and SAF/MG major mission training programs and community engagement. Ensures that trending issues identified from community engagement are addressed in training programs.
