Colonel Carl R. Pawling

Colonel Carl Pawling is the Commander, Air Force Manpower Analysis Agency, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. He is responsible for providing Air Force leaders at all levels the tools to identify essential manpower required to accomplish the Air Force mission effectively and efficiently. He exercises operational control of seven geographically separated offices and directs analytical efforts to determine manpower requirements, develop programming factors, support the execution of competitive sourcing initiatives, conduct Air Force continuous process improvement engagements, and perform special Headquarters U.S. Air Force studies.

Prior to this assignment, Col. Pawling served as Chief of Staff, Department of the Air Force Studies and Analysis, Washington, D.C. He has commanded at the squadron level and served in multiple headquarters. Col. Pawling has also deployed in support of Operation Noble Eagle and Headquarters U.S. Central Command.
